A variety of tasks are carried out within our workshop some of which are shown below.
All Polishing and Cleaning is carried out in the annexe to the main workshop. All the work is completed to meet current Health and Safety Standards with dust extraction units and dust free wet bench saws and core drills
The Wet Saw bench in use. This is a dust free saw which enables us to cut upto 5" material.
Machined lettering is generally used to match existing letters where an additional inscription is required. The lettering machine is similar to a pantograph and once cut the letters are finished with hammer and chisel.
We cut a computer generated stencil which is placed on the memorial and then sandblasted. The sandblast unit shown has its own dust extraction and will accommodate memorials upto 3'0" wide.
Hand Carving and Hand Cut Letters
Our Masons can create deep carved designs such as this rose as well as hand cut letters. Once cut the designs can be highlighted or coloured.
Shown here is a picture of a particular tractor the customer requested etched onto the memorial. The picture is traced and then handcut prior to being sandblasted onto the granite.
Here you can see the computer generated drawing of the customers picture. A personal touch will be adding a number to the front and side of the motorbike of relevance to the customer.
